Nice staff and pleasant place. Unbeatable, lovely location close enough to the coast as well as Lisbon as well as the Penn Palace and Moors Castle. Also, very near a gorgeous Buddhist Temple that is a must see. Great breakfast to start the day with freshly squeezed orange juice and great bread and cake.

Nothing to complain about, the hotel met needs well. Clean venue, truly enjoyed to be right by the old town, and a high mountain thanks to lovely and favourable location. The a double room was compact, included a shower, hairdryers and bath sheets. The hotel's stuff was very kind and nice. We stayed at Casa Das Hortensias for 3 nights and had an absolutely wonderful time. The house is stunning and just a short drive from the center of town. We were greeted with a warm smile and shown to our spacious and bright room. The bed was massive and everything was impeccably clean. The attention to detail was outstanding, from the beautifully furnished breakfast room to the non-dairy milk and delicious coffee. The staff provided 5-star treatment and made us feel incredibly welcome. Highly recommended!
